Starting September 22

You are invited! Beginning on September 22 the adult Sunday School class will be participating in a conversation and study about God's connection to his creation and his expectations for us as an integral part of it. The Green
Bible (New Revised Standard Version), published in 2008, was put together by an amazing group of editors and advisory board members representing a broad group of religious and environmental backgrounds.

It is a standard NSRV bible which includes a foreword by Archbishop Desmond Tutu and  introductory messages from contributors such as Pope John Paul II, Dr. N.T. Wright, and many others. It also includes the bible study which we will be using, and a long list of suggestions for us as God's children to begin to fulfill our responsibility as caretakers of creation.

The study will last at least 6 weeks as it addresses 6 themes. However, due to its complexity and in order to not limit conversation, we will take as much time as necessary and it will likely take longer. You do not need to have a Green Bible to participate — copies of the study will be provided. As usual for all adult class studies, any bible may be used, and there are bibles available if you do not bring your own. I hope you will join us for this timely conversation!
