The 2018 Ministry Fair:
As previously announced, the 6th Annual Ministry Fair is being held on:
Sunday, the 30th of September, in Zick Hall after each Worship Service.
It is the hope of the Stewardship Community that this fair will continue the annual tradition of providing encouragement with examples of and opportunities for:
service, love, faithfulness, surrender and joy -
(in short, Christ-like stewardship!)
What we will need to know (use the attached form to provide this information):
Each ministry wishing to participate in the fair will be assigned a table at which it can present details about itself such as: goals, projects, accomplishments, and needs. To complete our table-planning, we need each participating ministry team leader to provide:
1) Name of ministry and current team leader contact info
2) Approximate table size needed (half table is okay, too) - 6-foot round or 8x2.5-foot rectangular
3) Will you need an electrical outlet (for laptop with slide show, etc)?
4) How many chairs will you need at your table?
5) Does your ministry identify with one or more of: “GATHER”, “GROW”, “GO!”, or “SUPPORT”?
6) Will your ministry share a table with another?
What to expect:
Each Ministry Fair session will begin as each Worship Service ends. As done previously, one or two ministry tables will be chosen and given a supply of raffle tickets. The intent is to encourage attendees to visit all the ministry tables while searching for those raffle tickets. For tables with tickets: Try to limit tickets to one per person, please. Also, please us give your thoughts regarding any age limits/restrictions!
What each participating ministry team should be planning:
Each Ministry is encouraged to prepare an interesting and informative presentation regarding its mission, goals, activities, projects, membership, history, accomplishments and needs. Each table should be staffed and ready to answer ministry questions, collect the contact info of anyone expressing an interest, and if selected to distribute the raffle tickets. Please be mindful of the time as folks will need to average no more than 2 to 3 minutes per table in order to visit all tables in about 45 minutes. Remember that the person(s) staffing your table should also have the opportunity to participate in this event, so try to have enough staff to give each a break or assign shifts! Smaller ministries may want to consider joining forces and sharing a table and staff. For the convenience of everyone, all participating Ministries will be co-located inside Zick Hall.
We are asking Hospitality to provide light refreshments. Each participating Ministry may chose to handout some sort of snack and/or a small trinket to encourage folks to visit your table (costs to be covered by that Ministry).
Thanks in advance for your understanding and unfailing dedication, sacrifice and service with unreserved love, unhesitating faithfulness, and unrestrained joy!
